Our Program

Through a three-tiered program, students gain life skills that go beyond the kitchen and into every area of their lives. From building foundational knowledge to serving others and exploring global cuisines, our program is rooted in community and built for transformation.

Tier One

Where the journey begins.

New participants join a cohort-based institute where they learn essential kitchen skills, kitchen safety, nutrition, and basic food prep. But that's just the start, we also focus on emotional intelligence, mentorship, and self-worth. This tier is all about building strong foundations.

Skills: Knife safety, sanitation, basic cooking techniques, nutrition education.

Focus: Mentorship, identity-building, social-emotional development.

Who it's for: New students entering the program.

Tier Two

Cooking for community.

In this phase, students step beyond the classroom and into their neighborhoods. Through our More Than a Cook initiative, students help plan and prepare meals for those in need, applying their skills to make a real-world impact.

Skills: Batch cooking, time management, food prep for large groups.

Focus: Community service, team collaboration, leadership through action.

Who it's for: Tier 1 graduates ready to give back

Tier Three

A global lens on food, culture and connection.

Our final tier invites students to explore the rich culinary traditions of cultures around the world. They learn how food shapes identity, builds bridges, and creates meaning across communities.

Skills: Global cuisine, storytelling through meals, food systems education.

Focus: Cultural awareness, creativity, cross-cultural communication.

Who it's for: Tier 2 graduates eager to deepen their perspective.
